Description
A floor-standing mirror that borrows the proportions of an antique cheval glass and then stretches them: 193 cm tall but only 56 wide, so it reads as a tall slot of light rather than a piece of furniture.
Leaned against a wall it does what tall mirrors do best, doubling the apparent depth of a room and pulling daylight further into it. The frame is solid sungkai wood in a flat khaki, a colour chosen to sit slightly off from the neutrals around it. It comes from HKliving’s collaboration with Dutch designer Teun Zwets, whose work runs to saturated colour, heavy gloss and raw, workshop-finished surfaces, pieces meant to lead a room rather than blend into it.
