Description
The NHW700-199AE is built to hang on an outside wall, which keeps it out of a crowded garage or utility room and means it needs no vent pipe run through the house at all. It is a non-condensing design, so it also needs no condensate drain, which further simplifies installation.
Gas input modulates from 10,700 to 199,900 BTU per hour, and Navien rates it at 9.5 gallons per minute at a 35°F rise, 7.4 GPM at 45°F and 5 GPM at 67°F, which suits a large household in a warm climate. A buffer tank and recirculation pump are built in, so it can keep a recirculation loop warm and avoid the short burst of cold water between uses. The Uniform Energy Factor is 0.81, lower than a condensing indoor unit, which is the trade-off for the simpler installation.
This is a gas appliance. It has to be installed by a licensed plumbing professional, following Navien’s installation manual and your local codes for gas supply, clearances and freeze protection. Please confirm sizing and fuel type with your installer before you order.
