Description
The NPE-210A2 is the A2 version of Navien’s NPE-2 condensing tankless range, and the difference is inside the cabinet: a small buffer tank and a recirculation pump. Together they keep a little hot water ready at the heater, which smooths out the brief cold slug you can get when a tap is switched off and on again, and lets the unit run a recirculation loop so hot water reaches distant fixtures sooner.
Gas input modulates from 12,000 to 180,000 BTU per hour, with two stainless steel heat exchangers recovering heat from the exhaust for a 0.95 Uniform Energy Factor. Navien rates flow at 10.1 gallons per minute at a 35°F rise and 7.8 GPM at 45°F. It sits in the middle of the range, sized for a two- to three-bathroom home with several fixtures in use during the morning rush. Venting runs up to 75 feet in 2-inch pipe, and a 1/2-inch gas line can serve it for runs up to 24 feet, which often saves re-piping on a replacement job.
This is a gas appliance. It has to be installed by a licensed plumbing or heating professional, following Navien’s installation manual and your local codes for gas supply, venting and condensate drainage. Please confirm sizing and fuel type with your installer before you order.
